This job description should be filled by a female missionary. The following job description details the responsibilities of this missionary position.
- Job Responsibilities
- The Housekeeping Supervisor (HS) will be responsible for the oversight of the full-time and temporary female domestic workers employed by
Sunbury. This includes directing them in their daily/monthly responsibilities (laundry and cleaning).
- The HS in cooperation with the Maintenance Missionary (MM) will act as hostess and camp overseer during self catering
camping ministry while the campers are present at Sunbury (This includes running the tuck shop/canteen and does not include
catering).
- The HS will be responsible to stock the tuck shop regularly.
- The HS will be responsible for the procurement and distribution of cleaning supplies.
- The HS will be responsible to evaluate the performance of the full-time female domestic workers on a regular
basis as determined by the Sunbury housekeeping subcommittee.
- The HS will sit as a voting member on the Sunbury Housekeeping subcommittee.
- The only responsibility of the HS for Zion Ministry camps will be to arrange for the female domestic
workers during the Zion Ministry, as communicated by the responsible ZEMA missionaries. The one exception to this
being that all Sunbury missionaries are requested to be present and participate at the Annual Zion Conference
held the second weekend of October, when held at Sunbury.
- It is requested that the HS manage her time and working hours to have the appropriate amount of time off
for respite and relaxation on a regular basis.

Suitable housing at Sunbury will be provided including water and electricity.
- Telephone
The Mission will pay telephone line and rental charges.
- Leave
This person is entitled to 30 day leave per annum. It is expected that full leave will be taken
and responsibility coverage will be arranged with the other Sunbury families.
- Authority Structure and Finances
- The authority structure concerning the oversight of the Sunbury property is as follows:
- ZEMA Field Council
- Sunbury Committee
- Sunbury Chairperson
- Sunbury Housekeeping Supervisor
- Sunbury Employees
- At least one member of each family unit living at Sunbury will sit as a voting member of the Sunbury Committee.
- The HS will have the authority to fulfill her responsibilities without obtaining any further permission.
- The HS will within the confines of this agreement, have the authority to purchase materials, spares and supplies for the maintenance
and running of Sunbury up to an amount not exceeding a fixed limit set by the Sunbury Committee.
- An appropriate arrangement for the funds to pay the above will be made with the ZEMA Field Treasurer.
- If possible, a mission vehicle will be used when needed in work responsibilities. When a mission vehicle is not available,
work use of a personal vehicle will be reimbursed monthly at a per kilometer rate determined by the Field Council.
- The HS will pay the cost of personal phone calls only.
